Artisan Produced Fine Wines

FiàNobile winery originated through the joint efforts of the Alia and Corallo families, vineyard owners and wine producers since the nineteenth century in historical and famous "contrade" [district] in the Vittoria territory within the Province of Ragusa, in southeastern Sicily.  In 2005, the Cerasuolo di Vittoria was named the very first Sicilian D.O.C.G..  FiàNobile is the name of an ancient district of that territory.  The Company follows modern viticulture and winemaking principles in the vineyards and cellar, all in a favorable micro-climate.

FiaNobile produces a number of wines derived from indigenous Sicilian varietals, including Nero d'avola, Frappato and others.  As we’ve explored these wines, it appeared most appropriate to first offer Frappato and their two Cerasuolo di Vittoria labels.   Frappato is an extremely aromatic and fruity wine not widely available in America.

Frappato and Nero d'avola are the sole components of the Cerasuolo blend.  The percentage of Frappato varies from 30% to 50% and the percentage of Nero d'Avola varies from 50% to 70%. It is a truly unique wine that is among the most sought after from all of Sicily’s wines.
