Artisan Produced Fine Wines

The ancient Romans admired Campania Felix as the most blessed wine region. They favored the vineyards along the coast of Naples where the most treasured wines of the empire were grown.  They also praised the wines of the volcanic slopes of Mount Vesuvius, the wooded hills of Avellino and historic Sannio region. Even earlier, the Greeks had recognized the privileged nature of the place, introducing vines which still stand out today.  Fast forward to those regions in 2009 and you’ll find Vini Nobilis producing high quality wines that capture a link to those historic pieces of a land of great wine traditions.

 

Our relationship with Vini Nobilis and its owner Armando Petruzziello, is similarly inclined as some of our more recent portfolio additions.  If we are to do our work well, we believe it is important to complement the well known wines in our portfolio with the introduction of some of Italy’s equally appealing, yet lesser known varietals. 

 

Among other of their wines, we carry Vini Nobilis’ Aglianico Campania, Aglianico Sannio & Lacryma Christi.  Drinking these wines plants one right in the middle of the volcanic hills of Vesuvius and there’s little doubt of that special impression on one’s palate.
